About Me
With experience in academic, clinical and operational settings, I am passionate about sleep and helping individuals and workplaces discover the power of sleep for overall health, well-being and performance.
I am a confident communicator with an ability to deliver complex information to diverse audiences. I adapt and tailor communication and presentations to suit the target audience to ensure understanding.
Over my career, I have given countless media interviews across all forms of media including on the Today Show (Channel 9 Australia), ABC (TV and radio), and ABC RN. I have published research papers on the impacts of sleep loss, circadian disruption and on sleep and performance in adults and shiftworkers, and ways to mitigate against these effects. I have written 11 articles for the esteemed online publication The Conversation, which have over 1.6 million reads. I have also spoken at national (Australian) and international conferences.
I provide operational and scientific support, training and awareness to individuals wanting to improve their sleep and to workplaces wanting to ensure their workers are 'fit for duty' and operating at their best.

Education
In 2005 I completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical) and in 2006 I completed my Honours degree, both from the University of Adelaide. My honours project investigated the recovery of sleep following total sleep deprivation, first sparking my interest and passion for sleep.
I obtained a PhD in Psychology (Social Sciences) from the University of South Australia in 2014. My research project focused on the effects of sleep loss and circadian disruption on sleep in healthy participants and in shiftworkers.
